Holidays :)

Tomorrow I'm going to Madrid...and I was planing on being Internet free for this weekend in the Spanish capital. I return on Tuesday afternoon/night with hopefully loads of more nail polishes... Actually today I counted all my polishes and (with the 5 polishes I got today, since mum came back from Mexico) I have 153 !!!!! and I still have 5 from Holographic Hussy' s blog sale that hasn't arrived and 1 from eBay...simple math and then it's 159 (!)

well well, we will see what I find in Madrid :P

Have a nice weekend and A HAPPY NEW YEAR :)

You Only Live Twice from OPI

One of the nail polishes that did survive the trip from L.A to Sweden was You Only Live Twice from the James Bond Collection from OPI.

It's a really nice red one that goes well to this season. It looks like it's glitter (which is a pain in the ass, to remove) but it's actually not glitter. I really like this one and one of the reasons is just that it looks like glitter but isn't.

Not again!!!!!!

I'm getting tired of this.... this is the second time that I buy nail polish from eBay and this is what happens...

I felt the stench of nail polish as I got it in the mail and I had to open it from the side

Luckily Fly and You Only Live Twice was still intact....

but sadly I couldn't say the same about Suzi and the 7 Düsseldorfs... :(

Who said you can't make Christmas Cards with Polish?

For this years Christmas cards I did a little special thing... Since I have many nail polishes I thought I could use them on doing my cards....

I first draw the motive that I wanted on the cards and then I just filled in with polish :)
To my friend in Paris
For this Christmas tree I used Amour red, Viva La Diva 112 Green Mamba, H&M Green street and Maybelline 130 Winter Baby
To my Grandmother in Mexico
This was an easy one.... Models own Snowflake
To my Grandparents here in Sweden
To this I use: 17 Bronzy and Gilt, Depend 223, Amour red and H&M Antique Gold
To my friend and his boyfriend in USA
Kiss nail art paint Black, H&M Back by noon, H&M Green street and nails inc. Will
To my friends and there son in UK
And then the last one...but with the most polishes use: White, Green, Black, Yellow, Red and Blue (the ones with black cap) are from NETTO, the food store that cost me 79 SEK for 8 polishes...
The other colors are H&M Taupe & Green street and Models Own Juicy Jules & Dancing Queen

Goldeneye swatch from OPI

This is one more of the polish that I ordered from Asos

It's Goldeneye from the James Bond Collection from OPI.
In the bottle it looks like it's gonna be a golden glitter but the polish is more smooth then a glitter polish. And therefore it's easier to take the polish off...  I really like this one.

sorry for the bad picture, but it's winter in Sweden and we hardly see the sun...  :(
I painted Goldeneye on my tips just like a french manicure. The nail polish I used was Cherry from H&M... it's a small little bottle that are quite cheep at H&M.

New Models Own Polishes directly from UK :)

Thanks to one of my friends that are doing a semester abroad, I could take part of Models Owns gifts from Boots. The gift was, if you buy 2 polishes you get, a golden polish and a black nail pen polish...

My friend Kim bought me Snowflakes and Northern Light from the new Wonderland collection from models own.

I wanted to test it straight away but since I already had polish on my hands I had to find a guinea pig amongst my friends :P

And that was the results of the black nail pen

BarryM - Croc Effects

Already on Tuesday I painted my nails with BarryM's Croc Effects, it's only me that has had much to do at Uni that I haven't had time to write about it.

But her goes.

I bought it together with this once from ASOS

I started of by painting my nails with Essies - Sure Shot and then applying the BarryM. It says you have to apply it on a touch-dry polish (otherwise it will not stick and then just dry and fall of...yes I tried to paint without doing what it says on the instructions). So first 2 layers of Essie and then you have to apply a THIN layer of Croc Effects... well it went so-and-so to do that (I was a bit stressed doing it, cos I was doing the dinner at the same time...you know girls we multitask). I think it's actually really cool and I think next time I will use a lighter colour under so that you really can see the effect, cos Sure Shot is to dark.

BarryM - Blue Plum

I have had BarryM Blue Plum Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint on my nails since Saturday and not a scratch or chipping.. I have showered, washed my hands and done the dishes. And it's still perfect... By now other polishes would have chipped, but not this :) And I like that is so shiny.

Oh ASOS...

I got a paper in the post that I had to go to our Post office to get a parcel...When I get there I was in shock... Like what the f*** have I bought... wasn't it just some nail polishes.....

This 40 x 30 cm parcel greeted me at the post office. I got home and opened it, and what do I find...2 small boxes where the 5 nail polishes I have bought was in and I could put all of them in this 12x 12 cm box, the rest of the things in the BIG parcel was plastic to fill it out... WHAT A WASTE OF A BIG PARCEL.... don't you have smaller things to put the items in, ASOS?????

Well this is what I bought... Models Own - Disco Heaven, BarryM - Blue Plum (Gelly polish) and Croc Effects and OPI - The Living Daylights and Goldeneye.

Rearranging my Helmer

In September my friend Sara and I went to a big shopping center, in one of the corners they have IKEA...so I bought a Helmer (read about it here). I then ordered my polishes after colour, I thought that was a smart idea... well not long after I changed it again (!). Now I have them in brands instead... much easier.

So here comes my pics of my new arrangement

From left to right: H&M and OPI
I think H&M was the first place where I bought my own polishes, the roundish ones (and not using my mums). And I really like O.P.I, but as I have written earlier here in the blog is that a bottle costs 150 kr (about $ 23 !!!!!)
From left to right: Models Own, BarryM and IsaDora
IsaDora got me hooked on nail polish and that with the help of my godmother, that bought me 2 bottles just like that...
From left to right: Yves Rocher, nails. inc , L.A Color and Rimmel
Some of the Yves Rocher I have had since I was 15-16 years old.. but still working perfectly :)
From the back to front and left to right: Essence, Kiss Nail Art Paint, Pixi, Viva La Diva, Depend and 17

From the back to front and left to right: Collection, Essie, Maybelline, Pieces, bissu, Lacura, Jore, Primark, Fantasia, missguided, Manhattan and Amour.
And this is my Mix drawer...
