Trio with tape

On Sunday I painted my nails with these 3 green/blue/grey-ish polishes over my white nails, I used China Glaze White on White.

To do this design I wanted to use my striping tape that I bought at Born Pretty Store but then I decided to use normal tape and cut it with my scissors instead since I wanted different sizes and I didn't have the patient to add 2-3 striping tape when I wanted a thick line.. so yeah here is the result.

This is my left hand

 and my right hand.

The green polish is Essie Mojito Madness, the grey-ish polish is OPI Thanks a Windmillion and the blue-ish polish is Yesensy and I think the name or number is 049.

The design in my head was much nicer, this is just ok, and to be honest it takes a lot of time to do this with all the tape. You kind of have to be fast doing it cuz the polish starts to dry and then it's a bit hard to take the tape of the nails.

Essie - Shearling Darling & Toggle To The Top

Hey people...Sorry for not uploading at once (even if I posted a pic of the nails on Instagram some days ago and said that more info about the polishes where coming here on the blog.)

So right now I'm wearing two Essie polishes on my nails (why do we always paint the ring finger in another color? Like I have always done that without questioning but my friend asked me that when I posted a picture on FaceBook and I started asking myself that. SO WHY just that nail and not another ?)

Well back to the polishes, as I wrote it's two Essie polishes. One is Shearling Darling a dark red, perhaps bourbon or red/brown color. And the other is a red glitter polish Toggle To The Top. All are very Christmasy and perfect for the holidays. I did a bit of searching and both this polishes are from last year, the Winter 2013 collection and they have the numbers 282 (S.D) and 285 (T.T.T.T). I found both of mine at two different times in the sale section at H&M (also two different stores). In Sweden Essie is about 129 kr/each and I "only" payed 50kr /each.

Shearling Darling and Toggle To The Top taken with flash, so just keep that in mind since they are darker on the nails.

New Polishes

oh holly, don't let me come close to a store that sells nailpolishes cuz I always find some new one that I want.
Last weekend I went home to my friend in Stockholm, since she had her birthday on Monday and we then had the party on Saturday and went out in Stockholm.

But before going home to my friend, I did a small detour to Bromma Blocks since they have Rusta (the place where I found OPI for only 35 kr instead of 155kr for each bottle). But when I got there they only had Thanks a Windmillion from OPI, which I already got last time.... So instead I bought 2 bottles of Sally Hansen, like the only place you can get it. Did I mention I don't like living in Sweden cuz the tax is a joke on make up, hygiene articles and stuff like that, so please don't complain if a polish in UK or USA is "expensive", since the price for ONE OPI is 155 kr = $21, £13 or €17 (more or less). And some brands we don't even have here and therefore never will have the pleasure to try out :(

Sorry about the rant, but saw someone on Instagram complaining on the price for an OPI being $ 8 for a bottle and I was like "yessez woman, that's nothing".

So this is all I got

814 Platinum Star and 816 Malbec - Sally Hansen from Rusta 29kr/each
Toggle to the top and Belugaria - Essie from H&M 50kr/each
128 Ocean Crush and 866 Dragon - IsaDora from H&M 30kr and 10kr
233 Spontaneous - China Glaze from H&M 30 kr

OPI - Diva of Geneva & Essie - As gold as it gets (MATTE)

Well hello lovelies,

since I bought Diva of Geneva from OPI now when I finally found it (I have searched but with no luck until now). I thought I was going to do something that I saw on Pinterest looooooong time ago. And that was Diva of Geneva with a flakie polish and matte top coat. And of course now when I finally have it I had to re-create the style.

I started of with 2 layers of Diva of Geneva from OPI and then a layer of As Gold As It Gets from essie and then top of with a matte top coat from H&M.

Essie - "Stylenomics" and "As gold as it gets"

Hello all,

I know that I have already written about Essie's - Stylenomics before, but I decided to paint my nails again in this dark dark green color. It looks black on the nails but to make it more festive, since it's December and all, I also painted  Essie's - As gold as it gets, that I bought in Seattle (the last bottle at that Target!!). It's a clear polish with gold flakes that don't take over on your nails just makes them sparkle a tad more :-)

I hope you can see the sparkle but it was really dark outside and my lamp didn't help out that much.

Essie - Bahama Mama & OPI - Pink yet Lavender

On Monday (yeah I know it's Thursday today) I painted my nails with two new polishes that my friend Rica bought to me in NY :) Thank you hun! 120 kr for both of them, instead of paying 130kr for the Essie and 150kr for the OPI. That was one hell of a bargain.

Any hows nuff said about the money issue. I painted all my nails with Bahama Mama and I only had Pink yet Lavender on my ring fingers, but first I put a layer of Essence - Peel off  Base Coat. The thing I did WRONG, was to paint Models Own - 3 in 1 over my finished nails.
I know this is a blurry picture but it's more so you can see the different of the colors. My thumb nail (the top nail) I painted once again with Bahama Mama and my middle finger  has Bahama Mama and topped of with Models Own - 3 in 1.

Bahama Mama is a deep purple with red. And not purple that I became with the top coat :(

Here you can see the finished result of Essie - Bahama Mama and OPI - Pink yet Lavender.
Picture of the bottles
And here is a close up on my nails, on with the just Bahama Mama and one with also a layer of Pink yet Lavender.

ps. this time all the pictures where taken with my cellphone.
ps.2 next time I will show you how the Essence - Peel off  Base Coat worked on my ring finger nail.

Essie - Stylenomics

Last week I was in Stockholm for a job interview and I finished before the estimated time they had said for it and therefore I was to early for my train back home.

So what I did waiting for my train was to walk the shopping street up and down ( Drottninggatan) and I went in to H&M to find the SALE's box.....

AND I found Essies Stylenomics for 60kr instead of 125kr

It's a dark green color and on the nails it looks more black then green
