Geometrical nail art

Almost a year ago when I was on the plane home from Marrakesh I saw a picture of a manicure that I liked so I screenshot it so that I would be able to re-create it later.

Here is what I did. The white base is "White on White" from China Glaze the rest are nail art nail polishes from Kiss USA "Kiss Nail Art Paint" in Black, Silver Glitter, Soft Blue, Beach Pink and Soft Purple. Also the L.A Colors Art Deco in Bright Green and some miscellaneous from Walmart in Mexico.

China Glaze - 1344 No Peeking! (UPDATE)

Hello all,

some days ago I posted that I had bought this

from China Glaze which contains 1344 No Peeking and 1345 Dancing & Prancing.

Today I'm going to show you No Peeking since that is the one I have on my nails.

I "normal" light it almost looks like the nailpolish is brown-ish, but as you all can see with flash it is a metallic purple. I painted my nails with 3 layers of polish and then had Seche Vite Top Coat. What I don't like with China Glaze is that the brush is so small, when it comes to the width of it. It makes it harder to get a good layer when you paint. Otherwise I really like China Glaze. It is just recent it has arrived in big scale to Sweden. It started off that H&M had a small display and this one I found at the pharmacy and they had a big display with colors that I hadn't seen before.

SO WELCOME China Glaze to Sweden :)

New polishes - China Glaze and Seche Vite

I went down to the city after my exam on Thursday to do my Christmas shopping and I went in to the  Pharmacy and found this! A biiiiiiiiiig China Glaze display and also this Christmas package (Sprinkle some Twinkle), I obviously bought this since this was 2 bottles for 129 kr instead of 99 kr for each bottle in the display.

So these are the colors:  1344 No Peeking! and 1345 Dancing & Prancing

There was also 6 nail guides so that you can do french manicure or moon manicure, in the package.

I also, since it was the 11th of December (my saints day) went to Kicks. Each year they have an advent calender and on the 11th they (at least this and last year) had half price for the Seche Vite. So I bought 2 just to be on the safe side. I also bought a nail polish correcter, apparently Kicks is the only place that have one that is not worth a fortune...even H&M don't have one (scandal!!!).

Watermarble in black and white

So two days ago I uploaded this to my Instagram, it was late in the evening and as always I was in front of the computer doing my nails. I have previously done water marbling on my nails but always thought it looked ugly and that I hadn't done it correctly. But two days ago I think I actually made I great job with this black and white watermarble.

I used this two nail polishes. China Glaze White on White, not only for the marble but also as the base on the nails, and Bissu in black (there is no names on the bottles)...

I was not going to...

but I did anyway and did it means bought more polishes...

I had a 20 % coupon so I bought the OPI Breast Cancer Awareness 2014 polishes The Power of Pink and Mod about you with that. Then when I went to H&M, cuz I was buying more nail polish remover, I saw that they had lower the price for China Glaze and that they had my favorite white which is White On White.

Trio with tape

On Sunday I painted my nails with these 3 green/blue/grey-ish polishes over my white nails, I used China Glaze White on White.

To do this design I wanted to use my striping tape that I bought at Born Pretty Store but then I decided to use normal tape and cut it with my scissors instead since I wanted different sizes and I didn't have the patient to add 2-3 striping tape when I wanted a thick line.. so yeah here is the result.

This is my left hand

 and my right hand.

The green polish is Essie Mojito Madness, the grey-ish polish is OPI Thanks a Windmillion and the blue-ish polish is Yesensy and I think the name or number is 049.

The design in my head was much nicer, this is just ok, and to be honest it takes a lot of time to do this with all the tape. You kind of have to be fast doing it cuz the polish starts to dry and then it's a bit hard to take the tape of the nails.

New Polishes

oh holly, don't let me come close to a store that sells nailpolishes cuz I always find some new one that I want.
Last weekend I went home to my friend in Stockholm, since she had her birthday on Monday and we then had the party on Saturday and went out in Stockholm.

But before going home to my friend, I did a small detour to Bromma Blocks since they have Rusta (the place where I found OPI for only 35 kr instead of 155kr for each bottle). But when I got there they only had Thanks a Windmillion from OPI, which I already got last time.... So instead I bought 2 bottles of Sally Hansen, like the only place you can get it. Did I mention I don't like living in Sweden cuz the tax is a joke on make up, hygiene articles and stuff like that, so please don't complain if a polish in UK or USA is "expensive", since the price for ONE OPI is 155 kr = $21, £13 or €17 (more or less). And some brands we don't even have here and therefore never will have the pleasure to try out :(

Sorry about the rant, but saw someone on Instagram complaining on the price for an OPI being $ 8 for a bottle and I was like "yessez woman, that's nothing".

So this is all I got

814 Platinum Star and 816 Malbec - Sally Hansen from Rusta 29kr/each
Toggle to the top and Belugaria - Essie from H&M 50kr/each
128 Ocean Crush and 866 Dragon - IsaDora from H&M 30kr and 10kr
233 Spontaneous - China Glaze from H&M 30 kr

Colorful nails for my friend's 27th Birthday

Today is my friend Sara's 27th birthday and this weekend we had the birthday celebrations. She invited us home to her place and we had snacks and drinks.

The theme for the party was colorful nails :) Yeay I say, just up my alley...

This was my contribution.

I started off by painting all my nails with White on White from China Glaze. After my nails had fully dried, I took a make up sponge and tore pieces of it so I could use it to do my colorful nails. I used Amazon....Amazoff, Formidably Orange, Ridiculously Yellow, Seriously Purple and Riotously Pink all from OPI.

With the make up sponge I dabbed on the different colors on the white base to create the colorful nails.

A little bit of doodling

Well this happened yesterday, cuz out of boredom or something..

The base for all the nails is White On White from China Glaze..

Which one/s should I keep and paint all my nails with?!?!

On my thumb I stamped with the plate QA88 from Born Pretty Store. I painted with the sheer tints I made some weeks ago.

On my index finger I also stamped with the plate QA88 from Born Pretty Store and there I did a reverse stamping. Which means that I let the motive stay on the stamper and painted in the colors of the design. I used Golden Green and Copper Pot from Models Own and 426 from Depend.

On my middle finger I used Hot Stuff from Models Own

On my ring finger i did a watermarble with OPI Moonraker and nr 426 from Depend.

On my  pinkie and Freak Out! from Models Own

I also have come to the conclusion that I need a light box...  One of all the projects I have to do on my list...

Sheer tints. How to and manicure.

Some days ago I did my own Sheer Tints ( I can't pay $25 for each Sheer Tint from OPI) after I saw a video that Nails By Joha did on Instagram. I know I did something similar at the age of 14 so it's not something new but I have never thought of having a white base and then do nail art with it...

This is how I did: I used China Glaze Purple Panic, Sinful Colors Innocent (which I call "the Shrek green") and a blue from Primark (that turned purple after some days of mixing the polishes). I used clear polishes from Bissu (for the pink), FOF (for the green) and H&M (for the blue/purple) and I then added about 20 drops of the polishes I had decided for. Give it a good stir and then you have Sheer Tints in the colors of your choice :)

So today I painted my nails (on top of the Pink Mist from H&M) with China Glaze White on White and the sheer tints.

OPI - 4 in the morning and China Glaze - Electrify

I did yet another combo with glitters... I liked the last one so much that I needed to do yet another. But this time it's a more autumny look to it and it kinda reminds me of Thanksgiving and Halloween, I know many months left but yeah...

For this darker combo I used OPI's 4 in the morning from the Gwen Stefani collection and Electrify from China Glaze and the Hunger Games collection ( I think...)

I started off with 2 layers of 4 in the morning a dark grey, cuz it's not black, and then I added some layers of Electrify.

Pink and Green combo

After yesterdays cleaning and color coordinating my polishes in my Helmer drawers I decided to paint my nails in a pink and green combo.

I used China Glaze - Purple Panic and OPI - Amazon...Amazoff

And as always the colors are off... Purple Panic is a neon colored nail polish that  screams PINK

Distress Neon Using OPI - Outrageous Neons

This distress neon nailart I did after the blue water fall nails started to peel but I saved the Union Jack since it was still looking good.

I used China Glaze's White on White as the base and then I used the 4 colors from the OPI Outrageous Neons - Ridiculously Yellow, Formidably Orange, Riotously Pink and Seriously Purple.

I started off with the white polish and then I took all the neon ones and kind of brushed off all the color, so it wasn't that runny, so that I then could apply it on my nails.

China Glaze and Seche at H&M

Hello,

some days ago I saw on Instagram that H&M had started to sell China Glaze (!!!!) in their stores. So on Monday after work I went downtown and to H&M.... I didn't only buy nailpolish but also shampoo, conditioner and deodorant that they had on sale.

So I bought Seche's Base coat, manly coz it's a ridge filling base coat and I been planing on buying one for my nails a long time since my thumb sometimes makes me go bonkers...

And I bought this China Glaze 1008 Purple Panic a neon, well I would call it PINK and not PURPLE... and it dries matte. And it's really really neon!

ps. the pictures does not capture the real color very well but trust me on that it's neon and pink!

Sunshine

...was what we had 2 weeks ago when I took this picture

I used OPI "The "it" Color" and China Glaze "Electrify" from the Hunger Games collection, sadly you can't really see all the nice glitter coz of the bright sunshine on my nails.

Oh My...

...how could I haven't written here since end of January!!!!!!! The thing is that I post all my things on Instagram (cos I got lazy and I have to much things to do...) My instagram is here, you can all go and follow :-)

Last time I did a post was of ALL the manis I had had in January (this:)

After that I have added 17(!) pics of my nails, my friends nails and some family members nails that I have done, but not here ONLY on Instagram.....

The 4th of February

I did my first plaided nailart :) In pink ! Using IsaDora "115 Water Rose" and Pixi "35 Luminous Lilac"

First picture where like 7 o'clock in the morning with my bed light as a light source and the second picture was when I came home from work and I used the light from outside..

The 10th of February

I meet up with my friend that moved back from Germany and she had bought me 2 polishes and brought with her some polishes that I bought from a nail blogger in München :)

I bought  Essence - "Dreams For Sale" and "Waking Up In Vegas" from the blogsale, my friend bought Essence - "Sugar Plum Fairy" and "As Long As You Love Me". I also got Manhattan - "Lotus Effect" and  eyeliner from Catrice - 140 Chocwave from Daniela who has the blogsale

The 11th of February

I have previously done water marbling but this time I wanted to try out the spotted effect so I did just like when water marbling but with one small change... I had a spray bottle with vodka in it and I sprayed on the black polish before I stuck my finger in the water and yeap there where a spotted effect :) I used H&M "Manhunter" and "Lucky Lady"

The same day my friend came and I bought some polishes from her :) (she is moving to L.A and is selling of her things that she can't bring with her)

I bought "My Private Jet", "The It Color", "Japanese Rose Garden", "Ate Berries In The Canaries", "Shorts Story" and "Koala Bear-y"

The 19th of February

My friend came over so I could re-make her nails.

This first picture is of her nails that I hade done like 10 days earlier. I used two shades of blue from the brand Bissu and then I added some glitter from H&M on her ringfinger.

I did the Caviar Nail Art with the polishes from Primark that I wrote about here

The 20th of February

On the 22nd of February I went to Stockholm to see 30 Seconds To Mars and therefore I made a 30STM inspired nailart on my nails... I did the triad, the symbols and the white with colorful dots from the latest cd cover *LoveLustFaithDreams*

The 24th of February

I had hard to decide which PINK OPI polish I was going to have..... SO I tried out all the shades that I have...

The 27th of February

I then decided for "Japanese Rose Garden".
Unfortunately just 2 days after this happened... :
My nail broke right down and actually continued to do so even today ...same nail was cracked in two halves when I took away my last nail art today :(

The 3rd of March

I painted my nails with 2 different grey holo polishes . Nails inc - "Royal Mews" and Kiko - 400

A bit of macro of the holos ... so nice :)

The 6th of March

I then went over to China Glazes "White on White " and used a sponge to add H&M's "Miss Stone Heart" and "Manhunter"

The 12th of March

I saw a post on Pinterest, when I was browsing for ideas, on this owl painted on grey holo polish so I did my own but whit OPI's "My private Jet" as a base  and the I used white and black from Kiss Nail Art Polishes and OPI's "Barefoot in Barcelona" for the eyes.

I then also painted the same owl on my dads cousins nail, she wanted to show it to her kids at work,
but instead of OPI I used H&M "Nice N'Naughty" as a base. I had also, the day before, painted my mums nails with IsaDora "31 Burgundy Rose"

TODAY

I posted this to Instagram, the first time I did a fishtail och braided nail art. I used OPI "Koala Bear-y" and "Shorts Story" and Manhattan "Lotus Effect" in number 1.

ALL PICS ARE FROM INSTAGRAM, SO SORRY FOR THE BAD QUALITY. I WILL SOON POST BETTER...JUST HAVE TO GET THEM FROM THE CARD TO MY COMPUTER :)
